Dr. Sangwe Clovis Nchinjoh has built a career spanning frontline primary healthcare, national and global health programmes, research, and academia. His professional experience includes leadership roles with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and the Clinton Health Access Initiative, district health leadership with the Ministry of Public Health, Cameroon, and founding and leading Rural Doctors, a community health organisation.
At Stellenbosch University, he is the Founding Co-Lead of the Management Laboratory for Resilient Primary Health Systems, which he is establishing as a Pan-African platform for research, leadership and implementation acceleration focused on strengthening primary health system resilience against system shocks, including pandemics and epidemics.
As a Doctoral Researcher at the University of the Free State, he conducted a study on health system resilience and developed the PRIMaH Framework (Pandemic-Resilient Immunisation and Maternal Health Services) to strengthen health systems' capacity to sustain immunisation and maternal health services during major disruptions.
His academic engagements also include Guest Lectures at the University of Oxford, McGill University, and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and serving as Executive in Residence for the MPH programme at Miva Open University.
